TERMS AND CONDITIONS COVID-19

Health

All cats must be vaccinated and must include Feline Infectious Enteritis and Feline Influenza, for newly vaccinated cats this must be done at least 5 weeks before their stay. Where possible, a copy of the documentation shall be provided either electronically via email or smartphone. If this is not possible, the documents need to be put in an envelope or clear plastic wallet.

  • We do not accept nursing or pregnant cats.

  • Collars must be removed before arrival.

You need to tell us when and what flea and worming treatments you have administered and these must be up to date.

  • If your cat show signs of fleas or worms we will contact your vet and you will be liable for any fees incurred.

  • All cats must be in a secure and safe pet carrier which will be kept by Purr’s Inn for the duration of the stay.

  • Cats must be fit and in a healthy condition on arrival, any cats showing signs of ill health will be refused boarding.

All medications to be administered must be clearly marked with the cat’s name, instructions for use, dosage rates and times, and accompanied by details of the condition being treated.

If we are at all concerned about the health of your cat(s), we will contact a vet preferably your own. Vets fees incurred due to a pre-existing condition or unrelated to their stay will be the responsibility of the owner. Veterinary advice will be the deciding factor.

Public liability insurance is provided although it is always advisable that cats are individually insured by their owners.

Inspections and check in and check out

As we come out of COVID-19 restrictions we are starting to book appointments for visits. Masks must be worn at all times and visits are strictly by appointment only.

We try to tailor check in and check out times to suit our clients’ individual needs, however, agreed times must be strictly adhered to in order to avoid multiple arrivals at the same time.

Only one member of the family per cat is allowed. You may not enter the cattery buildings or reception areas at this time.

At this time we are no longer able to receive personal belongings such as bedding and toys and any bedding within the carrier shall be removed.

Contract between owners and Purr’s Inn Cattery

During the current COVID-19 pandemic we are not taking deposits but have introduced a non-refundable booking fee for each booking, which will be credited against your balance(s). You will not be liable for the full balance if COVID-19 circumstances require you to cancel at the last minute. If you cancel or amend your booking within 14 days of the start date you will be charged the full balance. Where previous deposits have been paid we are happy to transfer them to future bookings within a year of cancellation.

Double room rate is charged on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday

The boarding fee payment if made by BACS shall be paid the day before arrival. Payment by cheques and cash can be made on the day. Fees are charged per day and are inclusive of the day of arrival and day of departure.

Cats sharing accommodation must be from the same household and do so at the request of the owners.

In the case of a cat not being collected within seven days of the agreed collection date with no communication from the owner or the emergency contact we reserve the right to gift the cat for rehoming.

In the event of your cat’s needing to stay beyond the dates you have booked please telephone us as early as possible to see if we have a room available. If you are late collecting your cat without having agreed this in advance we will contact your emergency contact to collect your cat on your behalf. Your emergency contact must be aware that they may be required to care for your cat if you are unexpectedly delayed.
